Hey y’all, welcome back! I promise I won’t say y’all again- it’s just too easy getting wrapped up in gabbing about my favorite trip to the South. So I left you just past the front door at the entries and mudrooms of these mesmerizing abodes on the Bossier/Shreveport Parade of Homes. Let’s continue to navigate how the South does Southwest, and naturally venture into the great rooms, kitchens and dining spaces that made my heart skip a beat. As I mentioned last time, we saw cooler tones, contemporary kitchens, large-scale light fixtures, plenty of shiplap and incorporating natural elements as well. Gone are the Tuscan-inspired cabinets, speckled granite, fussy floral prints and dark floors & paints! Out here in the West, they’ve been gone awhile, but I kept overhearing people whispering about “how different” all of these lighter elements were. (Not sure if they actually liked it, or were just trying to sound sweet!) I loved it. It was like looking at your Pinterest boards come alive!
A few transitionally designed living rooms that caught my eye:
These fireplaces, mantles and windows are killing me!! Love love love:
And last little dining nook outfitted with a shiplap accent wall and pretty, contemporary light fixture. More stately black steel framed handrails, and did you catch the view of the outdoor fireplace and BBQ area? I see some natural toned shiplap on the ceiling out there, too! OK, I sooo need to move.
Hope you enjoyed these spaces as much as I did and still do looking at them! But have no fear, there is still more to come as I tour you through some stunning bedrooms and baths in my next post for your inspo and Pinning pleasure.
Thanks for joining me, and stay tuned once again!
